Traditional long distance rates are based on a number of variables: where you are calling from, the telephone company you are using and the rates the long distance provider is charged are just some of the things that determine what you pay per minute.
Prescient Worldwide's VON service is different because it uses your existing broadband Internet connection to eliminate many of these factors thereby cutting out the "middlemen".
To take advantage of our VON service you just need to set up our easy to install phone adapter and then you can use your phone the same way you do now.
911 Service and Voice Over the Network.
In some circumstances, reaching 911 emergency services may be limited when using Prescient Worldwide's VON service.
While you may use your VON phone adapter with any broadband connection, 911 service has been linked to your physical billing address at time of setup. If you wish to move your phone adapter to another location you must call Prescient Worldwide customer service, toll-free, at 1-877-770-6621. Depending on your new location, 911 service may or may not be available.
Please keep in mind that 911 may not be accessible due to loss of Internet connection, power interruption or hardware failure. We recommend that you maintain an additional means of contacting 911, such as a cell phone, in case of these types of service disruptions.
